At RF Systems, there has been fundamental research over a period of several years into rare earth's and the behaviour of mixtures of oxides and carbonates of metals as zinc, manganese, nickel, cobalt, lithium, tin, iron and other elements. RF Systems is able to design ferrites and powdered irons with very special properties. This has finally led to RF Systems' Magnetic Transfer technology, based on special ferrites and powdered irons which can transfer RF energy only by a magnetic field, with extremely low losses. This material is used in the Power - Isolator, a noise reducer and lightning protector with completely separated antenna and receiver circuits. Polycrystalline ferrite is used for ferrite cores whereby the initial permeability changes with the frequency. This material is used, for example, in the Magnetic Longwire Balun, EMF and MT range of antennas and in the SP - 3, an antenna splitter with the exceptional frequency range of 10 MHz to 2500 MHz. The photo shows one of the steps in the manufacturing process of the cores. After measurement, the cores are wound with Teflon covered silver wire.
